The main problem with the belay carabiner on the harness was always to keep it in the correct position.
Same problems in rappelling.
Grivel has designed a totally new carabiner where a simple second wire gate isolates the belay loop and keeps the proper orientation,
both with and without the rope, even when the carabiner gate is open.
Totally automatic operation.
Now the classical Clepsydra has a lighter and smaller version to be used where every gram counts!
